Marking Pininfarina’s 70th anniversary the limited edition 550 Barchetta was unveiled by Ferrari at the 2000 Paris Motor Show. Sharing its 478-horsepower, 5.5-litre front mounted V-12 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission with the 550 Maranello, this limited-edition model was a true Barchetta with coachwork by Pininfarina and no permanent convertible top. A cloth soft-top was supplied by the factory, but only to be used below 110 km/h in order to protect the cabin from the elements.

Ordered new on 20 December 2000 as one of only 48 RHD examples ever to be built and numbered 86 of just 448 examples manufactured in total. Chassis 124064 was also specified with the desirable “Fiorano” Handling Package, by the first and only owner who used this very rare Barchetta very sparingly, the odometer today reading just 4,830 miles.

Religiously maintained, this 550 Barchetta has MOT history dating back to 2004, a host of documentation that includes the Ferrari Certificate of Origin, Ferrari manuals, and ordering correspondence with Ferrari. Additionally, the car is also accompanied by a Ferrari Barchetta crash helmet, car cover, jack, soft-top and toolkit.
